Welcome to Sharmilas

Welcome, thanks for joining me on my website, I thought it would be nice to introduce myself.

Sharmila is a spiritual name which has the glorious meaning – bliss this name envokes the energy of delight happiness and joy.

I live in a small village in Somerset with my wonderful and supportive husband Lloyd, and my three children. Leon (18) and my twin daughters Nikita and Caprice (8) and my beautiful pet Sharmila Dolphin KissChihuahuas, and a wonderful sphynx cat called Harry.

I love nature and the outside world, and especially love animals, especially our friends the beloved cats, and dogs, who themselves just know how to give us unconditional love, and expect nothing in return. The most uplifting and spritual experience for me was swimming with the dolphins in Florida.

I have been on a spiritual path for many years now, and it was a few months after my daughters were born that I had become very interested in healing as a therapy,  and had become very aware that there is so much more to health than just curing the physical body.  I decided to take my journey to learn more about the subject of holistic therapies, even after the trials and tibulations of my own life events,  I was put on this journey to soothe and heal my own life to make it more forfilling, and a happy one, life can throw many obastacles which can be a challenge, but one must never give up as life will always become improved, even if we are in fright of flight at the time, there is always an answer and there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

Leon Dolphon KissMy first diploma was in ITEC Anatomy and physiology, and Swedish massage, I found this was the start,  and I wanted to learn more. I went on to study NVQ 2 in beauty therapy, as there was a need for ladies to look after themselves, and in turn this was great, as it lead to them feeling good about themselves, thus giving them a lift in their self esteem.  I was keen to learn more and decided to embark on a full time course in Holistic Therapies (IIHHT Diploma NVQ level 3) which lead to me becoming student of the year and students student,  incorporating the following, body massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, Indian head massage, hopi ear candles, counselling by a therapist certificate, and diet and nutrition this was a great time for me and I learnt so much not just about the therapies themselves,  but people and how mind, body and spirit is all linked in with how we feel,  and can effect our health,and well being many people are now realising, we cannot just rely on conventional medicine to hold the answer to all our problems, and we can help ourselves.

My experience has been that no belief system is necessary for healing to be of benefit. In my own case I build my beliefs on what I have actually had proven to me or seen with my own eyes. Whether we label healing as spiritual healing, Reki, therapeutic touch or any other name, I believe it is simply the channelling of love and energy. My belief as a healer is that we have physical bodies that are surrounded by energy bodies. When we are ill, emotionally, physically, or mentally these energy bodies become unbalanced. A healer has the ability to channel energy, and will be able to assist in the rebalancing of the energy bodies, which will in turn have effect on the physical body. Clients will often comment on feeling more balanced and more energetic after a treatment. This is of course a simplistic explanation but one that I have seen validated on numerous occasions. However I do believe we come from somewhere, I refer to this place as spirit, I believe it is our spirit or soul that is eternal and continues to live after our physical bodies are dead.

I am a kind hearted person, and do not wish to upset or offend anyone with my beliefs, but to any sceptic that may be reading this, and I was one myself many years ago, all I can say is try it for yourself and then judge its effectiveness by how you feel or benefit from a treatment.  Science can at present not fully explain the process, but that doesn’t make the benefits of healing any less real. Go on – try it!
